
Indiana Center for Middle East Peace is “an independent non-sectarian center dedicated to educating for peace, justice, and inter-cultural understanding locally and globally“. ICMEP is based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana and has been around for over 20 years. Over the last two decades, ICMEP has grown connections all over the world and holds free monthly events to showcase voices from all over the United States, as well as Palestine, South Africa, India, etc.
Founder, Michael Spath, has led 16 Solidarity Tours to Palestine and was recently asked to lead the second ever Solidarity Tour to South Africa.
ICMEP is the fiscal sponsor and a strong supporter of Michiana Voices for Middle East Peace. We are deeply grateful to ICMEP for their patience, teachings, resources, support and shared passion of creating a just world for all people.
Other Local Organizations

Michiana Friends of Palestine is based mostly in South Bend, Indiana and has a very strong sense of action and building community. Their events include Conversations for Liberation, which meets every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, and several educational activities such as reading groups that focus on articles and short stories, as well as book clubs.

Mennonite Action is a binational organization that focuses on political change in order to create a more equitable world. “We are mobilizing fellow Mennonites and Anabaptists across the United States and Canada to use creative nonviolent actions to demand a ceasefire, end the US and western funded occupation of Palestine, and build for a lasting peace.“
Michiana Voices for Middle East Peace communicates regularly and collaborates often with these local organizations in order to spread awareness and invite people into a larger conversation about what type of world we want to create.
